Once the controller is on LSI you can flash the most recent firmware. With sasflash, I get the Product ID mismatch message. Can you flash those firmwares? When drive counts expand, so must the servers SATA port count. Maybe try that one with the P21 firmware? Have you searched the HP sources for a newer firmware? As a result, higher-end hardware RAID features are absent from these controllers.

I’ve been attempting to flash the B1 revision of the firmware. There are some uncertainties as your chipset is on board. Where did you get the HP firmware from? These operating systems have the ability to use raw disks and manage data redundancy without the use of 8p-ort controllers. But the firmware is for the E, not thewhich I think is the problem. Can I use a B2 with my B1 chip?

I also flashed it to the IR firmware and prior firmwares too, but the HDDs are not displayed by the OS although the controller is mapped as mpt0 by the mpt driver: No, no, no, I meant C1, as in after the T Yes, the card will show up during boot, checking for drives etc. I’d like to get this working so I can attempt to run my very expensive copy of SolidWorks on this workstation or see if I need to invest in a much more expensive machine. It did not alter the cards name, the card has always been listed with sasflash as a Not sure how to 1068ee to get my original firmware back or if bricked my HBA permanently.
